About PKGuild

PKGuild is the Practical Knowledge Guild — a long-running technical knowledge archive and publishing home for practical architecture guidance, field notes, technical analysis, and real-world technology perspective.

Founded and maintained by Christopher Kusek, PKGuild exists to make useful technical knowledge searchable, accessible, and available beyond the limits of social platforms.

PKGuild is also the home of The Architect’s Edge, a publication focused on the decisions, tradeoffs, and practical realities that shape modern infrastructure, private cloud, VMware Cloud Foundation, AI-ready platforms, security, operations, and enterprise technology leadership.

About Christopher Kusek

Christopher Kusek is a technology evangelist, infrastructure practitioner, author, speaker, community contributor, and long-time voice in the virtualization, cloud, and enterprise infrastructure communities.

Christopher works in the VMware division at Broadcom and has spent decades helping architects, administrators, engineers, executives, customers, and technology leaders understand what matters, what changed, and what to do next.

His background spans virtualization, VMware Cloud Foundation, private cloud, infrastructure operations, security, storage, cloud platforms, technical community leadership, public speaking, training, mentoring, and field-facing architecture guidance.

He has been recognized for many years as a VMware vExpert and has contributed to technical communities through blogging, webinars, user groups, conference sessions, advisory conversations, technical education, and published content, including work associated with VMware vSphere administration and enterprise virtualization.

About The Architect’s Edge

The Architect’s Edge is the active editorial voice of PKGuild.

It is built for architects, admins, engineers, executives, and technology leaders who want practical, field-informed guidance without unnecessary noise.

The Architect’s Edge focuses on topics such as VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, private cloud, AI-ready infrastructure, operations, lifecycle management, security, platform strategy, and the realities of designing, operating, modernizing, and explaining enterprise technology.

Many Architect’s Edge articles are also shared through LinkedIn, but PKGuild serves as the durable, searchable archive where articles, links, technical notes, videos, and resources can be found later.

Why PKGuild Exists

Social platforms are useful for sharing ideas quickly, but they are not always searchable, indexable, RSS-friendly, or easy to reference months or years later.

PKGuild exists to solve that problem. It provides a permanent home for practical knowledge, technical perspective, field notes, and referenceable content that should remain accessible beyond the life of a social post.

The goal is simple: help people make better technology decisions, understand complex platforms, avoid avoidable mistakes, and learn from real-world experience.
